To upload a video on the home page, press the “Improve the Website” button, present only on your site’s home page.
After clicking on “Add video”, you will find out that there are three ways to upload a video (The tabs are at the top of the window):
1. YouTube Video
2. Your video
3. Video gallery
1. YouTube Video:
You can upload on your site YouTube videos in two different ways. The first option (A) enables you to copy the address of the YouTube video in an appropriate field.
The second option (B) enables you, by using an advanced search engine, to search for one or more key words in the field beside the YouTube logo. The most important videos for those key words will be then displayed (C). Click on the video you want for a preview. Click on the “I SELECT THIS” link to decide on various other settings (D).
You can enter a caption for the video if you want: the text will be displayed on your website’s page as a description, right below the video.
By selecting the Auto-play option, the video will start automatically when visitors access the page, whereas by selecting the “Continuous repeat” option, video play will non-stop. The video will in fact start from the beginning again after reaching the end (both these functions are optional).
You can also change the colour of the player’s bar by selecting a colour that suits your site. You can also decide on the size or the position of the video.
2. Your videos:
In this section you can choose to upload a video directly from your computer.
File size should not exceed 50Mb.
Formats supported are Avi, Divx, Flv, Mov, Mp4, Mpeg, Wmv, Xvid, 3gp.
Once the video has been uploaded, you can select other options to integrate your video in your website.
3. Video gallery:
Select the video you like from the gallery we have created.
Once you’ve selected the video, you can set additional options for the player, as for example, captions, properties, colour, size and position.
Remember that the video on the home page is published in the first block (or red box). In addition, if there is already a video in that box, it will be replaced by the one you have just selected.
